Relevance leads to higher response-rates. Compra’s Targeting tab lets you control who sees each survey so every question feels personal and actionable. Below is a deep-dive into the three most-used targeting options—Customer Type, Location, and Order Value—plus real-world examples to spark ideas.
How Targeting Works
Open Targeting – Create a survey and switch to the Targeting tab.
Select or Add Conditions – Select from default conditions for customer types or customize your own targeting audience. Click + Add and start configuring.
Chain Rules with AND – Every additional rule further narrows the audience. All conditions must be true for the survey to appear.
Save & Publish – Once saved, the rules take effect immediately for all new sessions.
Combining Rules- All must match
Stack conditions with AND-
Example: First time customers AND Order value ≥ $100 AND Location = USA
Purpose: Survey first-timers who made a high-ticket purchase to understand trust triggers.
Remember, each extra rule shrinks the potential audience. Monitor response volume after launch and adjust if you’re not getting enough data.
Best Practices
Do | Don't |
Start with one rule, then layer more once volume looks healthy. | Over-stack rules on a low-traffic store, responses may dry up. |
