What are Link Surveys?
Link Surveys let you collect feedback anywhere by sharing a URL or QR code with your customers. Because they live on a standalone page, you get full branding control and can reach non-buyers and dormant customers not just recent purchasers.

Unified analytics: All responses appear in your Compra dashboard alongside other channels.
How to create a Link survey?
Click Create Survey, then choose “Share a Link / QR.”
Select the Link / QR channel option. This tells Compra you’re creating a survey that will be shared outside of Shopify’s Thank You/Order Status pages.
Pick a template or start from scratch.
In the template gallery tailored for Link Surveys you will find common options for NPS, product research & development, attribution, and churn check-ins. Choose a template to move fast, or click Start from scratch if you already know the exact questions you want to ask.
Customize in the Survey Builder.
Here you can edit copy, add or remove questions, reorder them, and apply logic for skip/branching. All question types are available for Link Surveys, so you can design the experience you need without channel limitations.
Open Settings to fine-tune channel and design.
In Settings, you can switch the channel later if plans change (for example, move this survey to Post-Purchase). For Link Surveys specifically, Targeting is not applicable as it is an open link. You can choose your theme, colors, fonts, images, and logo to match your brand.
Preview on phone and desktop.
Use the built-in preview to see exactly how the survey will look on mobile and desktop. This is the best moment to tighten copy, adjust spacing, and confirm that longer questions read comfortably on small screens.
Publish to generate your URL and QR code.
When you’re happy with the content and design, click Publish. Compra will create a shareable URL and a downloadable QR code so you can distribute the survey anywhere.
Share your Link Survey
After publishing, copy the URL and paste it into your email platform (e.g., Klaviyo or Mailchimp), SMS/WhatsApp flows (e.g., Postscript, Attentive, Twilio), social posts or bios, landing pages, blogs, order emails, or support replies.
If you prefer a scannable touchpoint, download the QR code and place it on packaging, receipts, posters, event booths, retail counters, or print materials.
